How Parents and Students Deal with Graduation
Wednesday, May 4th, 2011Through the decades, graduation ceremonies are always regarded with high expectations. Students are acknowledged for their academic excellence and achievements. Teachers and mentors are also honored for educating students who can possibly be the future leaders and highly skilled professionals. At this point, parents become the proudest people on earth as they witness their child marches on stage and receives their diploma.
The moments in graduation ceremonies are priceless. Students consider the event something they always look forward too especially when they started in their first year. So, when high school is finally done, graduating students will do all their best to make their graduation ceremony something to be proud of and something that they can dedicate to themselves, their teachers, their friends and classmates, and their loved ones.
By dressing accordingly students can definitely say that they are exerting much of their effort already. It is hard to dress according to the rules especially if you prefer to stick to your own preference and fashion when it comes to dressing. But for the sake of the faculty, the school’s reputation and your parents, students must look honorable, respectful, and more responsible by dressing appropriately.
Hence, most schools carefully design and plan the graduation gowns and caps that the students will have to wear. The school can then compel their students to wear their designated high school cap and gown when they attend their graduation day. This is not something to argue about since the school only wants to build an image that will benefit the entire school and the future of every graduating student. When student willingly follows the dress code, he or she is not just merely obeying the rules but living the real essence of what graduation is really for.
Since the value of graduation ceremonies is already established, parents and students must do their best to deal with such fact. If the school provides certain rules and guidelines to be followed or a certain dress code is imposed, students must with all their heart and best effort obey. This is for the welfare of everybody and in the end; students will feel proud of such an achievement.
On the other hands, parents must continue to encourage their high school son or daughter to set a good example when it comes to following the dress for graduation. But, if the school allows students to take some creative and smart actions to make them look good on their graduation gowns and caps, parents must be supportive. Their son or daughter must feel that their parents wouldn’t hinder them if they want to be stylish when it comes to their appearance. Once your child is wearing his or her high school cap and gown while wearing some accessories, too make sure that they look fitting and decent. If not, then as a concern parent, you should give some advice and students must heed. This is how parents and students must deal with graduation.
